Established over 20 years ago, Sharky’s Bar & Grill has a colorful history and a very loyal customer following.
One of the keys to Sharky’s success is to continually look for ways to introduce unique and fun concepts that match the bar’s personality while capturing the interest of its patrons – ideas that are promoted as being unique to the bar and not found anywhere else.
Creating a new consumer brand takes time and a lot of money; however, if you have a captive audience, such as the case of Sharky’s, branding efforts can take no time at all if you can connect with the customers.
QuillAdvertising recommended that the creation of a signature drink would add a level of unique character that could be promoted for years. The Sharky’s team created drink a recipe, then, Quill created a marketable and catchy name that that would connect with customers. Hence, the creation of Sharky’s “Sucker Punch”, a trendy mix of popular beverages, Stoli Blueberi Vodka, Red Bull, Sprite and cranberry juice, that tastes good and packs a punch.
In order to reinforce the “one-of-a-kind” approach, Sharky’s applied for a patent for the drink’s name and special blend of beverages. A patent application was submitted to the U.S. Trademark and Patent Office, and was granted...U.S. Patent #78879843.
The next step involved the introduction of the Sucker Punch through a series of promotional communications that marketed the drink to Sharky’s customers.
